Causes & Symptoms for Ammonium Iodatum It is indicated to give a complete relief when iodine has partially relieved laryngitis & bronchitis, catarrhal pneumonia, oedema of lungs. The oedema and ulceration of mucous membranes produced by this powerful drug have been utilized as guiding symptoms for its use. Suited to people who are young and dull looking. Dry cough, with pressure, shooting, and sensation of burning in the chest is relieved with Ammonium Iodatum. Abdominal pains which return after every meal. Eyes and Nose Stoppage of the nose, or secretion of mucus more abundant than usual. Blowing of much yellow mucus from the nose. Red, burning spot on the noise, below the eyes, Small scab in the right nostril. Mouth and Throat Sore throat, with pressive pain, when not swallowing. Ulcers in throat, with swelling of glands of neck is relieved with Ammonium Iod. Inflammation of the throat, of the larynx and trachea, with contractive pain of excoriation Respiratory complaints Membranous croup, with wheezing and sawing respiration, dry, barking cough.
